A Dhaka court on Thursday fixed February 14 for hearing bail petition filed by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury in a case lodged over vandalising chief justice (CJ) residence at Ramna police station.
Judge Md Asaduzzaman of Dhaka's Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court fixed the date.
On February 1, and January 24, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate court rejected Mirza Fakhrul and Amir Khasru’s bail petition submitted by their lawyers in the case.
Of the cases, six were filed with Paltan Model Police Station, while the rest were filed with Ramna Model Police Station.
On October 29, Fakhrul was arrested in a case filed with Ramna Police Station over the attack on the residence of the chief justice.
On November 3 last year, detectives detained Khasru from the capital's Gulshan area.
