Bangladesh has recorded five more deaths from dengue fever in the last 24 hours till Monday morning, the highest number of deaths reported in a single day this year.
With the latest fatality, the dengue death toll has risen to 18 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During the 24 hours, 124 new dengue patients were hospitalised across the country, taking the cumulative number of hospital admissions to 5,924.
In 2025, Bangladesh reported 102,861 dengue cases and 413 dengue-related deaths.
