Six more children died with measles and measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the new deaths, one was confirmed as measles-related, while the remaining five were classified as suspected.
With this, the total number of confirmed deaths from measles has risen to 75, and suspected deaths to 384 since March 15.
During the same period, 1,517 new suspected measles cases were recorded. Of these, 243 measles cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.
According to the DGHS data, since 15 March, a total of 57,846 suspected measles cases have been identified nationwide. Of these, 7,767 measles cases were confirmed through laboratory testing.
Since March 15, a total of 42,092 suspected measles patients have been hospitalised, of whom 37,744 have recovered.
