Gulshan police have arrested Masukur Rahman, chief advisor and director of the controversial e-commerce platform E-Orange. He was arrested at about 12:30pm on Tuesday (June 30) from Dholaikhal area under Kotwali Police Station in Old Dhaka.
A special team from the Gulshan Police Station conducted the drive with assistance from the Kotwali police.
Confirming about the arrest, DMP Gulshan Zone's assistant police commissioner (AC) Shah Mostofa Tariquzzaman said Masukur Rahman was a fugitive convict sentenced to 6 months in prison in a fraud case.
There were 21 arrest warrants pending against him in various police stations across the country, and he was a fugitive convict sentenced to 6 months in prison in a fraud case.
He further said there are 21 arrest warrants pending against Masukur Rahman in cases filed at various police stations across the country.
