Two people died after being electrocuted at Dhaka Udyan in Mohammadpur in the capital. 

The Mohammadpur Police Station confirmed the matter on Thursday (July 9) night. 

The deceased were identified as Amir Hossain, 55 and Delwar Hossain 50. 

Police said that after receiving news through the National Emergency Service Number 999 at around 8:00am, a police team went to the spot. 

Later, the bodies of Delwar Hossain and Amir Hossain were recovered from there. 

Their bodies were sent to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

"An MoU will be signed between the National Payments Corporation of India and the Bangladesh Bank to make transactions in rupees and taka between Bangladesh and India easier," said the foreign minister in a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday.

Besides, the neighbouring countries are likely to sign two more memorandums of understanding regarding cooperation in agricultural researches, and extension of the existing cultural exchange programme for two years, said the foreign minister.
